At the Inserm U1093 CAPS laboratory, Institut Marey, 36 volunteers aged over 65 underwent a series of tests measuring balance, endurance, strength and cognition. They then followed a three-month intervention protocol comparing three modalities: Greek dance, tango and adapted physical activity (APA), at a rate of two one-hour sessions per week.

The objective: to identify the specific functional characteristics involved in each practice in order to open up new perspectives for prevention and support in ageing.

This research is being conducted as part of Jessica Bazin’s doctoral thesis.
